Well, I suppose, but it is rather crushing to know that my first elegiac couplet started with a spondee in both lines.
Thank you Annis; you should expect a lot of that on the trochaic tetrameter catalectic with scazon.
I think I might have to return to this forum for another attempt at another two lines.

A year to the very day! I have just begun composing at a rate of a couplet per day - not that all I do in a day is a couplet but I feel drained after one.
