Quis hora est?

Postby Lucus Eques » Tue Aug 03, 2004 3:10 am

Sententias plus communes feci, nunc ad temporem.

"Quis hora est?"
"Quem horam habemus?"

Romani horam primam in nostro "seven o'clock" habuerunt. Itaque: hora prima (7 AM), hora secunda (8 AM), hora tertia (9 AM), hora quarta (10 AM), hora quinta (11 AM), meridies/ hora sexta (12 noon), hora septima (1 PM), hora octava (2 PM), hora nona (3 PM), hora decima (4 PM), hora undecima (5 PM), hora duodecima (6 PM) — postquam non certe scio, sed reor horas per mediam noctem sic ire — at non scio. Consilia alia?

Vel tum, remandatum ad "Quem horam habemus?" sit:
"Horam quintam habemus," aut simpliciter, "Horam quintam," aut simplicitius, "Quintam."

Ad "Quis hora est?" :
"Hora quinta est," aut simplicitius "Hora quinta," aut simplicitissime, "Quinta."

"Quando urbem relinquis hodie?"
Respondit: "Hora decima," naturaliter in caso ablativo.

"Meridie venit Caesar." — "Vero? hora sexta?" — "Vero."

"Conveniendum puella cum mea septima habeo." — "Post meridiem?" — "Ita, post meridiem." — "Quare non ante meridiem? hora quinta?" — "Quia non adhuc e somno excitatus ero." ;)

Puto horas hieme breviores et aestate longiores sunt. Hora prima est ortu solis, hora duodecima est solis occasu. Ergo, hieme hora prima 7:33 incipit, aestate hora prima 4:27 incipit.
