Okay. Here goes my first stab, both at Greek, as well as using the SPIonic fonts....

2. [face=spionic]stratia| mi=kra|[/face]

4. [face=spionic]h( xw/ra= mi=kra= h0=n[/face]

Hi Markyesme,
SPIonic doesn't support macron and brevis. The short bar over [face=SPIonic]h(me/ras[/face] is a macron(which denotes that the vowel over which it is placed is a long one). Brevis is a sign that looks like an upside-down circumflex, which denotes a short vowel, or a short syllable in poetic notation.

2. -> pls. check the number

I thinks accents (as well as the length of the vowels) must be learned on the fly. (I'll have to work on the lengths again ) So I think you might well pick up those accents again. And, yes we miss macrons in SPIonic, but it isn't there.

Thanks a bunch. I wondered about my "macron". I figured that would be corrected. I will just leave those out (like I get to do in Latin).

re macrons,

my version of Spionic has a 'sort of' macron:

a> gives [face=SPIonic]a>[/face]
and
i< gives [face=SPIonic]i<[/face]

there is also a8 that gives [face=SPIonic]a8[/face]

but as you can see, one seems rather close to, and the other rather far from the letter

What is it that you don't understand? The code or the Greek?
The parts between the square brackets are tags to make the SPIonic font show up as Greek but this site does not use SPIonic anymore.

It is Greek in Latin letter?
Why show those Latin letters in SPionic font?

Or did there is something wrong with my computer? It is Greek letter but what I see is Latin letters and Arab numbers. What is the meaning of the Arab numbers?

If you have Spionic installed on your computer, you will be able to type in Greek using your word processing program. At one time Textkit supported Spionic and it was the font used to enter Greek.
Now we use unicode.

Nothing wrong with you computer (not from what I can see here anyway.) The Latin letters and Arab numbers are simply the keystrokes that Spionic requires. It makes them show up as Greek letters and diacritics.
For instance, h9me/ra=j makra=j in Spionic would show up as ἡμέÏ￾ᾶς μακÏ￾άς . (If you have unicode that is.)
