Accusative of Space

Post by elduce »

Just as there is the Ablative of Time Duration, I found there is also an Ablative of Space. This makes sense because space and time are related.
Here Caesar has set up fortifications to stop the impending Gallic invasion:
I'm including only the pertinent part of the sentence:

...milia passuum undeviginti murum fossamque perduxit.

...he [Caesar] led through/built for nineteen thousand miles wall and trench.

Gratias tibi.
ego amo megaforce

Wrong on almost very count. This is the Accusative of Space and it is 19 miles, not 19,000.
