Is there a list available that shows how often Homer used a particular word?
It would help in determining how much effort to put into memorizing that word.

Perseus has what they call their vocabulary generator that I have found very useful.

Homeric vocabularies by William Bishop Owen and Edgar Johnson Goodspeed
If I recall properly, it lists words that repeat 10 times or more. It covers words in both the Illiad and the Odyssey, I think... It is organized by word type like nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc. Also, it is organized by frequency too. Words that appear 1000-500, 500-200, 200-100, 100-50, etc. times. Not sure if those are the exact number ranges...
