What is the meaning of this word? What does this word stand for? Quaenam est hujus vocabuli notio? Quae notio subjecta est huic voci? Quid hoc verbi est? Τί δύναται τοῦτο τὸ ῥῆμα; Τίς ἐστι ταύτης τῆς φωνῆς ὑπόσχεσις;

Do you understand what I’m saying? Tenes quid dicam? Τὸν ἐμὸν λόγον συνίης;

Have you undestood, or haven’t you yet? —Yes, absolutely. Hoc intellextin? an nondum etiam? —Imo callide. Τοῦτο συνεῖκας; μηδέπω συνίης; —Ἀλλά γε δή.

I don’t quite understand what you mean. Nondum tuam cogitationem assecutus sum (percepi). Οὔπω τήν διάνοιαν σου κατέλαβον.

I’ll make he understand this difficulty. Illum ad intellegentiam hujus difficultatis adducam. Ἐνσημανοῦμαι αὐτῷ ταύτην τὴν δυσκολίαν.
