All,
As requested, I am posting a quick note as a new member.
My primary interest is Greek (all dialects), which I have been studying since 1998, but also Latin. I have taken numerous classes at UC Berkeley Extension with Dr. Christo, and have also worked independently with her. I started with Homeric, then moved to Attic and Koine. I have also assisted her and done some independent tutoring of lower level students.
My interests and struggles are common ones. Reading Greek fluently as opposed to mechanical and painstaking decoding; vocabulary acquisition; making sense out of Aristotle. (I can read the Anabasis at full speed but every time I pick up Aristotle I quit after a page or two!) I hope I can both help with people's struggles as well as receive help with my own.
The appellation was my teacher's idea, I promise not to sling too much!

Are you interested in speaking it so as to gain reading fluency?My interests and struggles are common ones. Reading Greek fluently as opposed to mechanical and painstaking decoding;
ἆρα λαλήσεις ὥστε μαθεῖν καλῶς ἀνάγνωναι?
οὐ μανθάνω γράφειν, ἀλλὰ γράφω τοῦ μαθεῖν.
