Venus says to Aeneas:

Namque tibi nuntio socios tuos salvos esse classemque relatam et in tutum locum actam versis Aquilonibus.

...by the turning of Aquilo (verto, vertere, verti, versum) ?

aut...

...swept (here) by Aquilo (verro, verrere, verri, versus) ?

"the north winds having altered/turned" ablativo absoluto est, dicam
I'm writing in Latin hoping for correction, and not because I'm confident in how I express myself. Latinè scribo ut ab omnibus corrigar, non quod confidenter me exprimam.
