I am trying to find the meaning of "capularis".
Years ago I seem to remember it from some quote and a teacher telling me it meant "With one foot in the grave", but it is not in any of my latin dictionaries.
Strange Word

My dictionary confirms it Visigoth,
"capulāris, e (capulus) (Plaut.) - relating to the coffin = with one foot in the grave"
"capulāris, e (capulus) (Plaut.) - relating to the coffin = with one foot in the grave"
“Cum ego verbo utar,” Humpty Dumpty dixit voce contempta, “indicat illud quod optem – nec plus nec minus.”
“Est tamen rogatio” dixit Alice, “an efficere verba tot res indicare possis.”
“Rogatio est, “Humpty Dumpty responsit, “quae fiat magister – id cunctum est.”

What a nice and useful word to have...
it probably comes from capulum, capuli "a tomb". A much easier way than looking through your dictionary is just entering a word here:
http://lysy2.archives.nd.edu/cgi-bin/words.exe
The program has a lot of words in it and sometimes even ones that your dictionary may lack. It's also nice that you don't have to put the headwords in because it knows how to parse.
