does anyone know how to macronate letters in MS word?

I learned of one way, which is a tad slow, but OK for just a few letters - run Start/Programs/Accessories/Character Map. This allows you access to letters with macrons.

A lot quicker and within Word: use Insert - Symbol and select your letter. You can also create shortcuts for the letters, if you want to use them often.

Of only Phil's method of the two was I aware. And I can make more thoroughly substantiated his assertion that it is operose by mine of congruent nature.
