Looking for a Latin word

If anyone knows a Latin word equivalent or close in meaning to "understatement", I would appreciate it :wink:
flebile nescio quid queritur lyra, flebile lingua murmurat exanimis, respondent flebile ripae

Litotes is Greek, but you might be able to find it in a Latin work as a loanword.
