Here it is an adverb modifying [face=SPIonic]e)re/w[/face] "I will say it out of myself", which later became a preverb. You can also say that [face=SPIonic]e)/k...e)re/w[/face] is a tmesis for [face=SPIonic]e)cere/w[/face]

I was just getting started in the next chapter and there I saw [face=SPIonic]e)cei/rw [/face]as a vocabulary word. I figured that this may the answer to my question.
I would not have been able to figure out the meaning as an adverb though.
