occīdo, occīdī, occīsum, occīdere (to kill: from ob + caedo)

and

occido, occidī, occāsum, occidere (to fall: from ob + cado)

There are several pairs of verbs like that in Latin, e.g.:

praedīco, praedīcere, praedīxī, praedictum (to predict)

and

praedico, praedicāre, praedicāvī, praedicātum (to announce)
