Hello there!

Post by Chris_in_Orbit »

Hello everyone!

My name is Chris, I recently stumble upon this forum in my journey to learn a foreign language. I am curious to know which language I should learn though. I have had it decided for a while that I would either learn Greek or Latin. What are the pros and cons of each?

I am also very into science (biology especially) and I know that many of the terms can trace their roots from Greek or Latin origins. Which do you find is more dominant in this light?

I hope to learn quite a bit here. Thank you for reading. :)

Both are OK,but I think Latin works better. Linne used Latin in his taxonomic method.

I would also say that Latin would be your better pick, I think a lot more revolves around that than Greek.
