Numquam Cogita

Postby Kasper » Tue Nov 18, 2003 1:56 am

Okay, I got really bored and had nothing better to do. Then the song came on the radio. To spare the cock his triple crowing I won't deny I love it. I'm sure it is full of mistakes, but I hereby surrender to your merciless criticism:

Olet simile spirito juvenis

one ad typanos
atque fer amiciae tuae
ludus est timendum
atque simulandum
illa est ultram gaudiam
secura ipsa
o minime
verbam sordidam scio

salute salute salute qui tristus

sine luce minor periculosus est
nunc hic sumus
nos delectate
stultum sentio
atque contagionem
nunc hic sumus
nos delectate

mulate albine culice libide mea yay!

pessimum sum ad quem
optimum facio
atque huic dono beatem sentio
semper parvus manus nostrus fuit
atque semper erit
dum finis

salute salute salute qui tristus

sine luce minor periculosus est
nunc hic sumus
nos delectate
stultum sentio
atque contagionem
nunc hic sumus
nos delectate

mulate albine culice libide meo yay

atque obliviscor
cur gusto o immo
puto ea fecisse ridis
ea dificile cognovi
erat dificile cognoscere
o quaecumque numquam cogita

salute salute salute qui tristus

sine luce minor periculosus est
nunc hic sumus
nos delectate
stultum sentio
atque contagionem
nunc hic sumus
nos delectate

mulate albine culice libide meo

negatione negatione negatione &c

ps. mulate is one I made up, I couldn't find it in a dictionary, the truth is I don't even know what the english word means. Is it related to mulier perhaps?
“Cum ego verbo utar,” Humpty Dumpty dixit voce contempta, “indicat illud quod optem – nec plus nec minus.”
“Est tamen rogatio” dixit Alice, “an efficere verba tot res indicare possis.”
“Rogatio est, “Humpty Dumpty responsit, “quae fiat magister – id cunctum est.”

Haha I hardly even recognized what the song was! A mulatto is an offensive term for some of mixed "breeding", ultimately from the Latin word mulus (mule).
flebile nescio quid queritur lyra, flebile lingua murmurat exanimis, respondent flebile ripae
