the homecoming

Postby zagreus » Sun Oct 26, 2008 2:30 am

Hi all,
Sorry to bother you for such a small question, but I'm writing a play & would like to call it The Homecoming - but in Latin. Any ideas, suggestions?
In fact any translations please, as I can't think of anything My Latin is little.
Thanks in advance.

PS Maybe I should add that it's a homecoming as in the tale of the prodigal son, a parable...

The only thing that comes to mind is 'reditus', which means 'a return, returning, going back,' or more possibly "reditio," which means the same thing but seems to be less common.

It's a shame you're not using Greek, because the word "nostos" literally means "return home" there.
