Adrian Goldsworthy's Caesar

I just picked up Goldsworthy's Caesar because I've heard some great reviews about it--not least of which came from my uncle, whose opinion I respect on all things Classical.

I was just looking to start a conversation about the book... I'm only about a chapter or so into it, but so far it seems good. Have any of you Textkittens read it? Any other books about Caesar that are worthwhile?
