That would be great. I just searched the internet and found out, that you can buy an "unchanged reprint" of the third edition of 1890/92 and 1898/1904. But it costs a fortune (245 Euro) and it has 2677 pages...The 19th century is the 1800s, right? In that case, it should be out of copyright and into the public domain.
It is pretty much the same with the Gemoll. I have seen lots of auctions at ebay.de and it was never under 20 Euro...

Some books on ebay are never cheap...
That's a good question...I wonder how long it would take Jeff to scan so many pages. And how large would the PDF file be?

Scanning is never a problem. I have a production scanner that can do 45 pages per minute. PHOTOCOPYING the book in order to get it through the scanner's sheet feeder does take time. Digitial cleaning where I remove photocopy marks, remove book markings, deskew. etc. also takes time. It's a tiresome process that's rather boring but very rewarding once the book is complete.
I wonder how long it would take Jeff to scan so many pages. And how large would the PDF file be?
