Latin transliteration is standard for scholarly editions of Sanskrit and Pali texts these days. It's usual for these languages to be written in the local alphabets anyway, so using the Latin alphabet for Western readers seems appropriate somehow.klewlis wrote:Are they supposed to be in Latin letters? I was hoping for something more exotic.

Dammit there she is again -all temptingly dressed up in in that Loeb style book.I could really throw myself at her feet again. If she was dressed up in Devanagari alphabet I'd be a goner.
But heck I'm married to Latin and Greek now-no more flirtations with other ancient scripts for me now!
Hmmm...'tis rather tempting though...
