Re:Palatine Anthology
Well there's a book called "Select Epigrams from the Greek Anthology", which you can buy.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... 02-1209400

Couldn't find anything on Aphrodite's Garland or Necklace.

The whole anthology is also known as the "Garland of Meleager"

However, Aphrodite being the goddess of love, I could find something called Love's Garland. There are several other prayers or hymns to Aphrodite. All the epigrams in the book are available at:

http://ancienthistory.about.com/library ... gkanth.htm

This is in English, I have no idea where you can get it in the original Greek.

Love's Garland (quoted below) is item 17 in the first chapter. Scroll down, the whole text of the book is on one big page. There are also links to the introduction of the book, and poets' bios.

XVII
LOVE'S GARLAND
MELEAGER

I will twine the white violet and I will twine the delicate narcissus with myrtle buds, and I will twine laughing lilies, and I will twine the sweet crocus, and I will twine therewithal the crimson hyacinth, and I will twine lovers' roses, that on balsam-curled Heliodora's temples my garland may shed its petals over the lovelocks of her hair.

Hope this helps.

Re:Palatine Anthology
:)Thank you very much. I read your message. I have the poems in Spanish. They begin with the main title: Aphrodite's Garland and a subtitle: The Anemones. The first poem in the section is called Amethyst and says (free translation)
"This translucent amethyst mount in gold is powerful enough to attract those men that row far away upon the waves and to seduce boys that have just come out from the maternal cloister. A magician from Larissa has given it to Niko, and Niko.with the purple fleece of a sheep, gives it to the tender Kipris." What I will like to read or buy is the whole Palatine Anthology, of which Aphrodite's Garland is only a partial recopilation. I will check the Greek Anthology you mention.

The Loeb edition (Greek and English on facing pages) is five volumes.
