Hi Mingshey, you are too kind.

Clever tactics -- rope-a-dope -- , hard work and passion, will beat fancy play most of the time. The Czechs were the better team but -- ALAS -- not the smarter on the pitch -- if you can't score, you can't win.

Tonight is Greece's night.

WELL DONE, GREEKS!

Again, thanks for the post, Mingshey. Take care my friend.

Peter

P.S. Beautiful baby :)
Fanatical ranting is not just fine because it's eloquent. What if I ranted for the extermination of a people in an eloquent manner, would that make it fine? Rather, ranting, be it fanatical or otherwise, is fine if what is said is true and just. ---PeterD, in reply to IreneY and Annis

I hoped Greece would win, but actually I thought the Czechs would win.
:D But Greece won!

Greece vs. Portugal is next, isn't it? Who do you think'll win?

Hehehe, that's why Greece won! :o Yeah!

The German commentator: "The Gods must be mad! By Zeus the Greeks have won!"
:P

I just drove through Speyer to collect my sister from a friends house and I was slightly distracted by people in cars and mini vans waving Greek flags out of the window and making a lot of noise.

It's Euro 2004 soccer games. ;)
A game Athena wouldn't have know how to help the Greeks to win. But now she seems to have got the clue.

Ahhh, I see. :) I don't tend to follow sports much...as I'm sure you can tell!

Congratulations, Greece!

Just to inform you a little more  ...
This is the first major football (or soccer) tournament Greece has played in for a long time. I think it might even be the first time they ever qualified for the Eureopan Championship (not too sure though). Everyone gave them a 1:100 chance in winning or less, no one thought they would even qualify, but when they did people said they wouldn't make it to the quarter finals, but they did, hehehe, and so on...
Basically, if you bet on this result, then you're rich now :P .

  • To say the truth, I do not care much about football, but I was really astonished that the Greek made there way to the final and won it after all. My congratulations for this :!: and it was also a good reason for me to drank a good glass (or two) of greek wine for her winnig of this championship. :D

Tear down the city walls, the Greeks are the soccer champions of Europe.

It's not a dream; it's reality!
