HELP! No luck finding software...

Post by Jeff Tirey »

In case someone here can help me...

My new computer no longer comes with the free version of Kodak's Imaging for Windows. This is that tiff viewer program that allows you one to markup multipage tiff files. I use this program to move through the multipage tiff files and clean up scanner junk and book markings.

I see where I can buy it http://www.digitalriver.com/dr/v2/ec_MA ... CACHE_ID=0

But I'm wondering if anyone knows of a similar and less expensive product.

All it really needs to be able to do is handle multipage tiff files and have that little block tool where once can select an area of any size and hit the delete key to remove everything in it.

I'm bummin' because I can't clean any files until I find this software.

thanks,
jeff

Jeff, I believe the download is still available but is well-submerged on microsoft's site. I will try to find it for you.

Apparently Microsoft didn't renew its contract with Kodak, so the software disappeared from XP. If you have a 2000, NT, or 98 cd then you can install it from that.

http://groups.google.com/groups?q=Kodak ... p02&rnum=4

Futhermore it may require file filters from MS office.
