I'm not sure if the one I received was the same as yours. (That's because I could not find the adjectives you used in the dictionary.)
There was only about $2,000,000.00 in it for me, so why bother.
Mine was to rip off the Brittish government, not some really vain southeastmidwestern african government.

There was a news report on CTV recently were a Canadian reporter caught up with one of the scam artists in The Netherlands.
He ended up with a death threat.

These have been going on a long time. I get them by email all the time, but one friend actually gone one of the originals: real, paper posted mail.

I got my first one a few weeks ago. Some African guy needed help getting reestablished. It was quite unfortunate that several other men sent me the exact same letter. I could not help them all...

They are so obviously scams, yet some of our clients (usually rich & well educated) have actually fallen for these! I guess there's no accounting for human stupidity (or greed)
I am getting so fed up with junk mail - it's the one thing that gets me into a total fury. A complete waste of time and resources.

Fifty to sixty. Incredible.
That would make me want to change my e-mail address

A couple of days a man who harvested a couple of billions of email addresses with a robot program and sold to spamming companies is caught in Korea. He also proxied spamming. Flay him as many time as the number of spam mails he supported.

At my work address, I get about 100+ a day. I have a nice graph.

I have tools, though, which catch most of it so I don't have to bother.

first of all, spam is bot crap ....and then most spam bouncers are only bulky....but are lacking in prudent A.I to block or track and respond. there are programs called "nukes" which overburden a server with trash packets resulting in a router management redundancy! which could probably be used against those spammers!

My Mother informs me that these emails have been around longer then the internet. I am told that there once was this service of exchanging paper messages, they called mail:P. These plauges on humanity have been out lasting the test of time.....

I hear also that there were simlair offers carved into caves of the cavemen:P
