Though I'm not a christian, I like those lovely carrols. And here's one I like best to sing in German. And it's a latin version so as to fit in textkit forum.

Sounds a bit brutal in Latin, doesn't it?

I've got a book somewhere with some Christmas carols, some are in Latin, too.
I remember my music lessons in the fifth and sixth class... most songs were in Latin, somehow I think it's fun to sing in Latin

Wow! That's so neat! I should sing that for my grandparents while they're here. They're both Catholic, so I imagine they would enjoy it.

It does sound a bit strange when you sing it in Latin, doesn't it? But the German is just as bad, and yet I'm still trying to find all the words to the German version. (I only know the first couple of lines in German.)

"Silent Night" sounds lovely in Gaelic.
