Wow, did anyone else notice that the paperback has mysteriously gone absent? This query concerns Geoffrey Horrocks' _Greek: A History of the Language and its Speakers_, second edition. I had pre-ordered the paperback for less than 30 USD, but now the paperback is no longer available, and only the hardcover is available at ~171USD.
