I have to make a presentation about the book. And I haven't gotten any instructions. I have three sources:
Paul Veyne's Roman Erotic Elegy
Pierre Grimal's Roman Literature
All three books have a very different interpretation of the book and that's how I became confused. Now even I'm not sure how I understand the whole book. Is it all fiction? Is it trying hard to be like Homer? Is it just comedy?
I would really appreciate a couple of suggestions what should I focus on in my presentation. Should I stick to the interpretation how everything is completely fictional?
It would be much easier if I could just write about Roman erotic elegy, because there are not enough of sources which are analizing Amores. Or maybe such literature exist and I haven't found it?
Basically anything is helpful.
(If this topic is very wrong since it's not about grammar, I apologize.)
