Tristis paters sum ego/est hic

Post by blutoonwithcarrotandnail »

Hic is occasionally used for a personal pronoun in the third
person.

For starters the personal that i am aware of are: EGO, TU,
NOS, VOS. There are no personal pronouns for the third
person. There are in the reflexive but not personal pronouns.

Is the use of HIC as a personal pronoun as easy as this:

TRISTIS PATER SUM EGO

TRISTIS PATER EST HIC

Thanks.

Yeah, that's it. In the first sentence, though, 'ego' would not be placed at the end because it's only used when the speaker wants to emphasize "I am a sad father" that's just a matter of style though.
