Need help with a sentence in chapter five of Familia Romana
The sentence in particular is "Aquam pulsat et te vocat." Now I know what the other half of the sentence means, "And he/she/it calls you." But I can't for the life of me figure out what the first part is saying. My guess is "he/she/it pushes the water," but by looking at the picture, that's definitely not correct. Can someone help me understand this sentence?

pulso means "strike" or "beat." I think it's the picture of someone slapping their hands against the water.

Marcus pushed Quintus into the impluvium. Quintus is frantically pounding the water (based on the picture, it seems he can't swim) and calling for his mother, while Marcus stands by laughing.
