Cari amici, enamored with my new home's desert landscape, I couldn't help put an American Western twist on one of my favorite pieces of Latin literature, the First Eclogue by Vergil, in this recitation of it I did recently:

A couple fun quiz questions for you:
1. There is a reference to a lightning strike — can you find the real one in the scenery?
2. I hoped the song I chose would be appropriate for two reasons; guess what they are!

Brilliant! (And I love Tucson.)
But, alas, I am striking out on both quiz questions. (I'm afraid I don't recognize the song you're playing so nicely on your western-style tenui avena.)
Any more hints you could afford us? Please let me know, but for now I have to skedaddle.
