Two latin texts for Numbers Cap 8 v2-3

Post by pmda »

My Weber-Gryson Latin Bible has this for the Book of Numbers Chapter 8 v.1-3

Whilst almost every other version I find on the internet has the following

This a pretty wide variance... Is this common with the Latin bible?

Weber-Gryson is the text critical edition of the Vulgate. The online editions you have been looking at are based on the Clementine Vulgate. it's simply a text critical difference here. As to how widespread, you'll simply have to compare each passage on a case by case basis.
