translation help

Hi,
I was trying to translate a sentence which is tough for my level. Is there anyone so kind to translate it for me? I am not writing my translation attempts because they don't make any sense.

"Tum adversarii a nobis saepe superati ridebunt, arma capient, Romam et Capitolium numquam antea expugnatum, numquam deletum petent."

What is the context of this passage and where did you find it?

the text is about marcus porcius cato.. actually, there is a story about him which is a part of my homework. there are lots of sentences i cannot understand enough because of my lack of grammar but i'll try to work it out.
