i'm sure you can appreciate the problems with the first part of your tricolon, the notion of 'taking pictures', since Latin is of course a tongue suited to a civilisation two millennia ago. are you able to offer an alternative, because the closest rendering, say, 'paint only pictures', would not really have the right emphasis, surely.
as for the whole thing, once you've updated the first part you could have
x solum y, relinque solum uestigia, tempus solum consume,
where x is the verb and y the noun.
