This is from the key to North's Prose Composition:

Miles pauper aliquando mulum ducebat auro oneratum quod ad Alexandrem Magnum missum erat. tam fessus erat mulus ut …

Mulus is m. Why quod? As far as I can see, it should be:

… qui ad Alexandrem missus erat. …

AURUM ad Alexandrem Magnum missum erat.

AURUM = quod

I'm guessing Alexander is more interested in the gold than in the mule! :-)
