In LLPSI Penso B Orberg offert 'referta' tam verbum qui deest ab hac sententia: Priusquam Pompeius, dux egregius, classi Romanae praepositus est, cuncta maria REFERTA erant praedonibus, qui Romanos ita contemnebant.....'

Dubito ut Orberg 'referta' tam verbum deesse meditatur. Hoc in indice vocabulorum, neque in hoc capitulo (XXXIII) reperire non possum. In Capitulum XXXII Orberg verbum 'infesta' utitur sic: Olim cuncta maria tam infesta erant praedonibus ut nemo navigaret sine maximo periculo mortis aut servitutis.

'referta' rectum est. hoc, idem ut 'plēna' et 'replēta' significans, participium perfectum verbi 'referciō' (= 'plēnum facere') est.

Non dubuto verum est hoc verbum in hoc loco sed 'refercio, refercire, refersi, refertus' neque in nullo capitulo neque in indice est!

I was just wondering why Orberg had offered it as an answer when it doesn't occur in his book...
