"Wing-eared"

Postby zuzannams » Tue Aug 09, 2011 9:26 am

What are the rules of formation of such adjectives as "wing-eared" (referring to an animal that has ears like wings), "green-eyed" (with green eyes), etc.? I am looking specifically for both Latin and Greek adjectives designating a "wing-eared" creature; however, I am also interested in the general rule in both languages. I am not sure whether it would be appropriate to start two separate topics on the Greek and Latin boards, so I decided to place my questions here on the Latin board as a single post.
