Bibliotheca Veterum is a project to transcribe rare and old books about old and dead languages and providing them as a free nicely-formatted and searchable PDFs. Before releasing PDFs, we post the contents in this blog to collect corrections and feedbacks from visitors. You may comment your questions, corrections, suggestions and feedbacks about each topic. Topics related to each book are categorized together and category name is the name of the book, the contents belong to. To view the information of the book, please read category description. As anybody can see these online books, these scanned images are not much suitable good to be used in classes as sometimes the looks ungly, are hard to read, have black spots etc. This is why I am transcribing them that teachers and students can print them nicely to use in their classes.

I am reminded of a previous project of yours, Laura. Is the transcription of Comenius's Lexicon atriale latino-latinum still running?

Comenius is still there - it is set up as an open wiki for anyone who wants to participate. It's not something I am working on (I just set up the wiki as a favor for someone else) but there have been some great contributions that people made to the wiki - and there is now an even better scan of the Comenius text available for the later portions where the GoogleBooks texts is unreliable. It gets spammed every once in a while but I guess we are lucky that Latin does not attract the attention of spammers the way other online topics do! If anybody does notice any spam there I've failed to delete, just let me know. Mostly they try to spam the SideBar, which is easy to control.
