In my experience it is best to focus on one language until you are comfortable with all of the basic grammar/syntax and have a decent working vocabulary. Only then would I start on another language. Otherwise you will be slowed by 'interference' which is confusing grammar/syntax/vocab/pronunciation etc. from different languages.
