verba decussatim occulta (cryptic crosswords)

Postby phil » Tue Feb 23, 2010 1:19 am

For some years now I've been addicted to cryptic crosswords. I've decided to have a go at compiling them. Here's my first one. The clues are in English, but the answers are Latin words. Let me know how you get on! If you like them I'll post more. Or, if you prefer, I could do some with normal clues, though they're less fun.

The grid should be converted to fixed font, (about 10 pica seems OK) and printed out to make the columns line up. If anyone has a better way for me to distribute the grid, e.g. a Word doc, let me know.

I'll try to get to a computer on Friday to answer any questions.
