This board is a composition workshop, like a writers' workshop: post your work with questions about style or vocabulary, comment on other people's work, post composition challenges on some topic or form, or just dazzle us with your inventive use of galliambics.

Can "legw" be used absolutely? In Woodhouse, under e.g. "speak" (which can be used intransitively in English), it says "v.tr.and absol. 'legw... etc.'", yet I'm not sure the LSJ entry supports this.

What about something like δεινὸς λÎγειν "clever at speaking"? On the surface that looks like it's being used absolutely.
