the Cranberries' "Linger" in Ancient Greek

This board is a composition workshop, like a writers' workshop: post your work with questions about style or vocabulary, comment on other people's work, post composition challenges on some topic or form, or just dazzle us with your inventive use of galliambics.

Oh, I thought the world of you.
I thought nothing could go wrong.
But I was wrong, I was wrong.
Dolores O'Riordan 1971-2018

Markos,

I'm too lazy or ignorant to attempt a clever reply in Greek, but I don't want you to think your skillful and touching tribute has gone unnoticed!

I'm not sure how clever it is, but the obvious reply is:

Nor have your kind words.
