We’ll get him
Bring Nemo to Slumberland sure. King Morpheus.
Stay right where you are and we’ll hustle you into Slumberland quicker than a wink

Adducemus eum.
Tute advehite Neminem in Dormitoriam. Morpheus Rex.
Mane quidem ubi es, nos autem in ictu oculi propellemus te in Dormitoriam.

1 Nemo was a very sound sleeper but not so sound as not to hear the rustling of the portieres, heavy breathing and a strange subdued snickering in his very room.

Easy now but hurry! We haven’t much time.

That’s it, be easy but hurry!

2. Opening his eyes, he saw six of the busiest star imps carrying in all manner of odd looking golden objects. He remained calm although inwardly he was burn-

Atque ideo, festinate lente!
2. Cum oculos aperuisset, vidit sex occupatissimorum stellatorum dæmoniorum qui insolitarum omne genus aurearum rerum inferebant. Tranquillus autem mansit etsi

expectatione exardescebat. Mox tamen cognovit quid hæc significarent. Nam stellata dæmonia commutabant lectum ejus in quoddam magnum currum aureum in quo ferrent eum in Dormitoriam.

Wait second!
Take your time but hustle! We must hurry up, you know?

Paulisper manete.
Urgens opus sume tempus. Festinandum vero est.

4 convey him to Slumberland. It took the imps but a few minutes to adjust the different parts and they rolled it out of the room to where two prancing and bejewelled ponies awaited to complete the most beautiful equipage Nemo had ever seen.

Postquam dæmonia varias aptando partes modo paulisper occupata essent, e cubicolo eum emoverunt quo duo equulei exsilientes et gemmati expectabant ut pulcherrimus, quem Nemo umquam viderat, apparatus compleretur.

Aw!!! What’s up now, shorty?

Heu! Nunc autem quid est, homuncio?

Φεῦ. Τί τὸ πρᾶγμα τουτί, ἀνθρώπιον;

The dawn will be here soon.

Cito fiet dies.

He can’t get his gloves on! Shucks!

Non potest induere digitabula! Papæ!

5 When all was in readiness and the funny little coachman ascended to the box a scandalous bit of mismanagement occurred. G It seems his new driving gloves didn’t fit. He puffed and fumed for four hours until Nemo and the imps became shockingly

Aw! Oh please don’t!
Oh! Oh! Oh! We are lost. Oh, oh.
Mister Dawn! How can you be so cruel?
Please! Oh, please let us go to Slumberland!
Hold! Just a few minutes!
Be off! Vamoose! Fade away! You must disappear! The sun is coming! I can’t hold it back. Dissolve! Melt! Vanish!

Eheu, ne facias, rogamus te!
Heu, heu, heu! Perimus. Heu, heu.
Οbsecramus te, sine nos in Dormitoriam ire!
Retine! Tantum parumper!
Abite. Discedite. Evanescite. Proficiscendum vobis. Nam Sol venit quem neque possum retinere. Dissolvimini. Liquefacimini. Latemini.

Οἴ, οἴ.
Ὦ δέσποτα ἑῷε, πῶς γὰρ οὕτως ὠμὸς εἶ;

6 angry. Finally, after great stretching, the gloves were adjusted, but too late for even a start for Slumberland, as the advance guard of dawn appeared announcing the coming of the morning sun and day.

While it was just what the imps expected of their long delay, yet they made pathetic appeals for a stay of time. Nemo will never forget how frantically they
7 begged for just enough night to succeed in taking him to Slumberland.

Quod etsi vero ob longam dilationem expectabant, tamen dæmonia flebiliter obsecrabant ut manerent dum parumper. Nemo autem nunquam obliviscetur quomodo furiose postulaverint tantum sat noctis ut feliciter ducerent eum in Dormitoriam.

At the time he didn’t understand it all, but later, when the sun appeared and he saw all of this gorgeousness melt away before his eyes, he broke into tears.

Tunc quidem non omnia hæc intellexit, postea autem, sole orto, cum videret cuncta hæc speciosa in conspectu suo tabescentia, effundit lacrimas.

He had fully believed that he was to go to Slumberland straightway, in royal style, and meet the pretty princess, but he believed otherwise when

8 he saw the sun, saw it enter his room until it blinded his eyes and he awoke feeling miserable.

Pshaw
Come! Nemo: your breakfast is awaiting you. Come! Come! Nemo get up! It’s time for Sunday school.

Vah.
Veni, Nemo: jentaculum te manet. Ηuc, huc! Surge, Nemo! Hora doctrinæ Christianæ est.

Φεῦ.

Can I take it that as no one has found fault with Bedwere's translation, it is without fault.

If any of our resident experts have read it through and found nothing to simply post that I feel sure would be welcome to Bedwere.

I found the small letters a little difficult to read so I did a version which was twice the size. Hopefully I put the text in the right place:

I added in the texts using GIMP so I include a link to the GIMP file:
