De Duobus Bubus et Leone

Quaerens sibi lautas epulas, conspexit leo
duos iuvencos atque in hos propere impetum
facit, sed illi mox coniunctis viribus
medios ne inruere in ipsos potuisset leo
graviter rudenti obiciunt cornua quattuor
itaque ut taurorum viribus se comperit
minorem, diris coepit agere fraudibus
leo et boum sic est locutus ad alterum:
«Tuum si aufugere properans comitem deseris
hodie profecto sospitem te hinc auferes».
Leo qua fraude victor continuo bovem
utrumque caedit ullo sine negotio.
