Shephard of Hermas 43:8

Post by Geoff »

καὶ οὐδενὶ οὐδὲν ἀποκρίνεται

Could this be translated,

"and no one answered anything"

I've seen ἀποκρίνομαι take its object in the dative before

The dative would be the one being answered.
Your translation has the dative as subject.

I would translate this as; "And he answered nothing to anyone".
