Mounce is not only the author of Basics of Biblical Greek, but of a commentary on the Pastoral Epistles (Word Biblical Commentary, vol. 46 http://www.amazon.com/Word-Biblical-Com ... 417&sr=8-1).
In this commentary, Mounce specifically refers to the phrase μή ἐν κατηγορίᾳ ἀσωτίας ἢ ἀνυπότακτα in Titus 1:6 as being the "third set of requirements" (the first being that an elder be a 'one-woman man' and the second that he have believing children) which "begins a negative list that continues through v. 7, naming qualities that an overseer must not have" (p. 389).
However, to take the phrase in this way requires that one take ἀνυπότακτα as modifying πρεσβυτέρους in v. 5! It's clear, though--because ἀνυπότακτα is NEUTER--that it modifies τέκνα in v. 6! Therefore, μή ἐν κατηγορίᾳ ἀσωτίας ἢ ἀνυπότακτα must be not the third set of requirements of a list of qualities an overseer must not have, but a set of requirements that the children of an elder must have! To think that Mounce, of all people, couldn't tell the difference between ἀνυπότακτα and ἀνυπότακτους!
