Iliad 13, 459-461
So, what's going on between Aeneas and Priamus? Ameis mentions rivalry. Is something more to be said about this, some other source than Homer for instance?

Re: Aeneas & Priamus
Aeneas was from a collateral branch of the family. Priam favored his own sons over Aeneas. Aeneas was an important warrior and resented this.

Re: Aeneas & Priamus
I looked up the Cambridge commentary on this, there wasn't anything very specific. According to the commentary we have not been told what problem is. Probably it's something like what Qimmik said. Maybe it was even traditional?
By the way, the Cambridge commentary on books 13-16 by Richard Janko is probably the best in the series. If you want to use the series at all, I would recommend that volume.
