Does anybody have ideas about translating Iliad 18.482: [face=SPIonic]poiei daidala polla\ iduihsi prapidessin[/face]?

He made many elaborate designs to look at?

(I'm having trouble with the accents causing spacing problems. I downloaded it from the hyperlink provided. Any ideas?)

I find it's not a problem if you use Netscape.

So if other people are using Netscape the accents will appear correctly to them?

They should, I think. I can't really talk for everyone else though.

About [face=spionic]iduihsi[/face]:

I checked it in Cunliffe's 'Lexicon of the Homeric dialect' (arrived yesterday, love it already), and he states it is an adiective use of the perfectum participle of [face=spionic]eidw[/face] and it should mean skillfull.
