Hi there, first post here...
My name is Augusto de Ornellas Abreu and I am a new member from Brazil. I've been working with Pharr for a couple of weeks now and I'm loving it. I'm also a member in the Pharr-A mailing list (although, not in an active way - I'm still catching up to them).
I have a question, though. Can anyone describe to me in detail the differences between the original Pharr book and the newly released revised edition? I ask this because I only have access to the old one (5th ed., 1925)... Am I missing out on something by not having the revised one?

There is no essential difference. John Wright, who revised Pharr's text, added some explanations of 'traditional grammatical terminology' to help the modern student who knows little grammar. He also removed some of Pharr's more expansive notes so as to allow important grammatical info to be seen more clearly.
But nothing else was changed. So your lesson numbers and their contents should harmonize with the revised version.
