Can some one explain what ἔκ means in ἀλλ’ ἔκ τοι ἐρέω, τὸ δὲ καὶ τελέεσθαι ὀίω

Here it is an adverb modifying ἐρέω "I will say it out of myself", which later became a preverb. You can also say that ἔκ...ἐρέω is a tmesis for ἐξερέω

Thanks Skylax,
I was just getting started in the next chapter and there I saw ἐξείρω as a vocabulary word. I figured that this may the answer to my question.
I would not have been able to figure out the meaning as an adverb though.

Preverbs were initally adverbs, they say.
