Τὰ εἰς ἑαυτόν: wondering about a verb

Postby bedwere » Tue Jul 08, 2008 1:18 am

Hello,

I'm reading Marcus Aurelius's Meditations with parallel text
I was wondering about this verb (at least I think it is a verb): Ï€Ï￾οαπέστη
(See 1,16). I thought it was the 2nd aorist of a Ï€Ï￾οαφίστημι, which does not exist.

Many thanks!

Well, my Loeb obelizes the word. Not sure why, and there's too little apparatus to know.

(See 1,16). I thought it was the 2nd aorist of a Ï€Ï￾οαφίστημι, which does not exist.

But Ï€Ï￾οαφίσταμαι does.
