I've been learning Greek at university for the last six semesters. In class we just read texts at this point, and I feel like a lot of my grammar knowledge is now intuitive rather than laborious. This is good! But it can also breed laziness and not really knowing it. I worry that today I couldn't pass my 'intensive summer Greek' final.
So this summer I am teaching a friend Greek. My goal is to really get the grammar under my belt again, and I'll be helping him out (he studies ancient history but does't know Greek yet). We're using Hansen and Quinn.
Has anyone taught Greek to a friend before? Suggestions of things to try or things to avoid?
